CREAMY GELATIN DESSERT

Creamy Gelatin Dessert image

Steps:

  • Sprinkle gelatin over boiling water. Remove from the heat; stir until gelatin is completely dissolved, about 5 minutes. Stir in marshmallows until melted. Stir in bananas. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Add pineapple and cold water to gelatin mixture. , Pour into a 13-in. x 9-in. pan; chill until set. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and flour. Gradually stir in reserved pineapple juice. Add butter; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; cool to room temperature, about 35-40 minutes. , In a small bowl beat the cream until firm peaks form; fold into pineapple juice mixture. Spread over gelatin mixture. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill for 1-2 hours.

Steps:

  • Place 1 cup grape juice in a medium bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin over the juice, and let stand for a few minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a small saucepan heat the remaining 3 cups grape juice until just boiling. Remove from heat, and pour over the juice-and-gelatin mixture. Stir until the gelatin is dissolved.
  • Pour into a 9-inch square baking pan, and transfer pan to the refrigerator until firm, about 3 hours, or overnight.
  • Dip the pan briefly in hot water to loosen, cut into squares, and serve.

4 cups good-quality grape juice
4 envelopes (1 ounce) unflavored gelatin

  • Add boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add enough ice to juice to measure 1-1/2 cups. Stir into gelatin. Refrigerate 30 min. or until slightly thickened. Remove 1-1/2 cups gelatin; place in medium bowl. Stir in fruit; set aside.
  • Stir half the COOL WHIP into remaining gelatin with whisk until blended. Pour into 8-inch square dish. Refrigerate 10 min. or until set but not firm. Carefully top with fruited gelatin.
  • Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Serve topped with remaining COOL WHIP.

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Meanwhile, heat coconut milk to boil in small saucepan. Stir boiling milk into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add enough ice to juice to measure 1-1/2 cups. Stir into gelatin; stir until slightly thickened. Remove any unmelted ice. Remove 1-1/2 cups of the gelatin; place in medium bowl. Stir in pineapple.
  • Refrigerate remaining gelatin 15 min. or until slightly thickened. Stir in COOL WHIP with whisk until blended. Pour into 8-inch square pan. Refrigerate 10 min. or until set but not firm. Carefully spoon reserved gelatin over creamy layer in pan.
