GRACE'S BOSTON COOLER
when i was in my early 20's i worked long hours. and had low blood sugar and i'd get 1 of these at lunch everyday and that would be all i had. too busy to get a sanwhich and i love these.

Steps:
- in blender place ice cream and just enough ginger ale but not to cover ice cream.
- should not be thin. if thin add a few more scoops vanilla ice cream and blend on high
- serve in chilled milk shake cup. hope u like it. i've even made it 4 pregnant women who came in craving it lol. i didn't deny thier requests for thier concoctions.
BOSTON COOLER
Despite the name, the Boston Cooler is a Detroit original. To be properly enjoyed, you must use Vernor's as your ginger ale. However, as it's not readily available in all markets, substitute other brands if you must.

If you are lucky enough to get Vernor's gingerale in your area (a Detroit product). then you will have a truly authentic BOSTON COOLER. Otherwise with just any brand of golden gingerale you'll have to add a pinch of powdered ginger to cut the lemon flavor which is most outstanding and often overwhelming in any other brand.Cool...
