GRANDMA'S BUTTER COOKIES
These are easy cookies to make and very easy to eat! Can't go wrong with Grandma's Butter Cookies! Hope you enjoy!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In large mixing bowl or electric mixer beat; butter, egg, vanilla, and sugar.
- Then add 2 1/2 cups of flour to mixture and mix until creamy.
- Roll out dough on flat surface until about 1/2 inch thick.
- Use cookie cutters of your choice to cut the dough.
- Place the dough on a greased cookie sheet, and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- After removing the cookies from the oven, let them cool.
- Frosting and sprinkles are opptional but recommended by Grandma herself!
- Enjoy!

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl in a microwave. Add sugar and stir to combine. Add beaten egg and mix well. Stir in oats, flour, vanilla extract, salt, and baking powder.
- Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until edges are golden brown, about 8 minutes. Let cool completely before removing cookies from foil.

GRANDMA WOMACK'S BUTTERHORN COOKIES
These "butterhorns" are a traditional Christmas favorite around the Womack homesteads, but can be made and served all year round. Delicious, flaky, buttery, crusted cookies rolled in the shape of miniature croissants, sprinkled with a nutty, cinnamon-sugar mix.

Steps:
- Cut butter into flour in a large mixing bowl with your fingertips. Add sour cream and egg yolk; mix thoroughly until a firm dough is formed. Shape dough into a large ball, cover with waxed paper or plastic wrap, and refrigerate until fully chilled, at least 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Combine sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Remove dough from the refrigerator and cut into 3 equal pieces. Roll 1 piece of dough into a circle. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the sugar mixture and press it into the dough. Cut into 12 wedges (like a pie) and roll each piece from the wide side to the tip to make a croissant-shaped cookie; place on the prepared baking sheets. Curl the tips of each cookie towards you to form a curved horn shape. Repeat with remaining dough and sugar mixture to form remaining cookies.
- Bake in batches in the preheated oven until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

- In a large bowl, cream the sugar, butter, vanilla and salt. Add eggs and mix well. Combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda; add to creamed mixture. Chill until firm, about 1 hour., On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/4-in. thickness. Cut shapes with cookie cutters; place on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 7-12 minutes (depending on size) or until light golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool completely., In a large bowl, combine the confectioners' sugar, extract and enough milk to achieve desired consistency. Tint with food coloring. - In a large bowl, beat shortening and sugars until blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into sugar mixture. Stir in oats and coconut., Divide dough into 4 portions. On a lightly floured surface, shape each into a 6-in.-long log. Wrap in waxed paper; freeze 2 hours or until firm., Preheat oven to 350°. Unwrap and cut dough crosswise into 1/2-in. slices, reshaping as needed. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on pans 5 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool., Freeze option: Place wrapped logs in a freezer container; return to freezer. To use, unwrap frozen logs and cut into slices. If necessary, let dough stand a few minutes at room temperature before cutting. Prepare and bake as directed.

GRANDMA'S CLASSIC NO-BAKE COOKIES
This is the first cookie I ever learned to make as a child. They're very delicious with the peanut butter and oatmeal. You can eat them fresh out of the pan in a bowl with a spoon, which is delicious with a glass of milk besides. This no-bake cookie recipe was my grandmother's, and my mother taught it to her children, and I will to mine. I hope you have as much fun making this either by yourself or with your children, as I did with my mom. Separate cookies with waxed paper if putting in a tin or baggie to prevent sticking.

- 1. Preheat oven to 350.
- 2. In large bowl(use my large 6qrt casserole bowl), cream butter & sugar until light and fluffy.
- 3. Add eggs & vanilla; blend together.
- 4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, & salt. Then add to butter mixture.
- 5. Knead/mix (inside bowl) thoroughly-(at this point I have to use my hands).
- 6. Load dough into cookies press and press into desired shapes onto non-greased cookies sheets. Decorate with colored sugars as desired.
- 7. Bake 6 to 8 minutes until edges are light brown-DO NOT OVER BAKE.
- 8. HINT: If dough stays too sticky, add a little more Wondra flour and knead into dough. Also, dampen paper towel and cover dough in-between pressing cookies onto sheets so dough will not dry out.
