PINE NUT AND BASIL GUACAMOLE
Guacamole is typically a Mexican dish, but that doesn't mean you can't try to make it with other global flavors. For an Italian-inspired basil guacamole recipe, top it off with toasted pine nuts and fresh herb ribbons. You can also substitute the traditional lime for lemon juice.-Taste of Home Test Kitchen

- Transfer guacamole to serving bowl. Garnish with basil leaves. Place on platter. Arrange toasts and crudités around bowl.
- What to drink:
- With the appetizers, put out a couple of options. Prosecco (Italy's answer to Champagne) is always a good choice. They also offered Peroni Nastro Azzurro ($9 for a six-pack), a dry Italian lager with hoppy aromas.

- Super Simple Guacamole. It’s important to walk before you can run. This basic guacamole is a good place to start. With avocados, lime, red onion, garlic, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, and salt, it’s a perfect recipe for guac beginners (or purists).
- Kale Guacamole. Get your daily dose of greens with this healthier guac recipe. Shallots, garlic, fresh herbs, and jalapeño pepper give the brightly colored dip a ton of flavor and spice.
- Black Bean and Corn Guacamole. This recipe combines all the best parts of a burrito bowl: black beans, corn, and, of course, avocado.
- Grilled Guacamole With Parmesan and Basil. Sticking avocado halves on the grill for a few minutes intensifies the flavor and adds char-y goodness to your guac.
- Roasted Tomato Guacamole. This is a flavor combo we didn’t know we needed. Roasted cherry tomatoes, avocado, and red onion combine with olive oil, basil, and garlic in this fresh, Italian-style dip.
- Tropical Fruit Guacamole. Can’t swing a beach vacation this winter? Make this sunny dip and pretend you’re in the tropics instead. Chopped pineapple and mango combine with jalapeño peppers to make this sweet-and-spicy guac an instant go-to.
- Creamy Guacamole Hummus. Why choose between dips when you can combine two into one awesome dish? First, blend avocado, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and cumin.
- Spicy Apple Guacamole. Fruit-filled guacamole is delish, and apple guac is no exception. Green apples add a tart crunch to the otherwise classic dip (it also calls for red onion, cilantro, and lime juice), and a jalapeño spices things up a bit.
- Charred Jalapeño and Peach Guacamole. Chop red onion, peaches, a jalapeño, and cilantro roughly to achieve this recipe’s sweet and spicy taste and ultra-chunky texture.
- Pomegranate Guacamole. Paleo friendly and Whole30 compliant, this guacamole recipe is a festive way to stick to your healthy-eating goals.
