HAM AND CHEESE PIE

The entire Kitchen Crew gobbled this ham and cheese pie up in no time. The Monterey Jack cheese melts really smooth and is rich, but the savory ham balances out the pie. The crescent dough makes the perfect buttery light crust. So good!

Ham and Cheese Pie image

Steps:

  • 1. Unroll crescent rolls and separate into eight triangles. Preheat oven to 325. Place five triangles in a 9-inch pie pan. Press pieces together to form crust. Reserve three triangles for the top crust.
  • 2. Combine remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Pour into crust.
  • 3. Roll out each remaining triangle until longest side is 8 inches
  • 4. Cut into 1/2 inch strips. Criss-cross strips over filling to form lattice top. Flute the edge.
  • 5. Bake 40 to 50 minutes until knife inserted 2 inches from the edge comes out clean. Do not over bake.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Press one package crescent roll dough into a 9-inch baking dish; cut remaining package crescent roll dough into 1-inch strips.
  • Stir eggs, ham, Cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese together in a bowl; pour mixture into prepared baking dish. Arrange crescent roll strips over ham mixture creating a crisscross pattern.
  • Bake in preheated oven until golden brown and set, 50 to 60 minutes.

Steps:

  • Arrange the ham or cold meat on the bottom of a shallow pie dish or baking dish.
  • Melt butter in saucepan and add the flour, salt, pepper, and brown sugar.
  • Add the milk gradually and cook over heat until the mixture thickens, stirring all the time.
  • Add the onion, corn and eggs. Mix well. Do not boil.
  • Remove from the heat and turn into the pie or baking dish.
  • Put in a pan of hot water and bake in a 375°F oven for 45 minutes or until the mixture is firm.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain and cool.
  • Combine potatoes, ham, corn and parsley; set aside. In a saucepan saute onion in butter for 2 minutes, stir in flour until blended well. Gradually add milk and pepper. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and pour over the ham mixture. Stir to mix well.
