MACARONI, PINEAPPLE, AND HAM SALAD
This delicious macaroni salad is so refreshing. My husband and I came up with it using ingredients we prefer and we make this regularly during the summer to go with lunches or as a meal on a really hot day. Easy recipe to modify according to your own preferences. Get creative and enjoy!

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes; drain. Transfer hot macaroni to a large bowl.
- Pour Italian-style salad dressing and crushed pineapple over the macaroni; stir. Add ham, celery, tomatoes, eggs, and onion; stir.
- Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour.

- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add shells and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 9 minutes. Drain and let cool.
- Heat butter in a medium skillet over medium heat and add ham and brown sugar. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes; do not overcook. Set aside and let cool.
- Mix mayonnaise and sour cream together in a small bowl. Combine pineapple, grapes, Cheddar cheese, and pineapple juice in a large bowl; mix in mayonnaise mixture, ham mixture, and pasta. Mix well before every serving.

PINEAPPLE AND HAM PASTA SALAD
This is my favorite cold pasta salad. I'll eat it every day, every meal, until its gone. I love the dill and add more than the recipe suggests. This will feed an army. The number of servings is set at 8 but it seems more to me. I usually half the recipe unless I'm doing it for a potluck or company. Refrigeration time is not included in preparation or cook time. - Pour pasta (from Suddenly Salad box) into 3-quart saucepan 2/3 full of boiling water. Gently boil uncovered 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain pasta. Rinse with cold water; drain well.
- In large bowl, stir together Seasoning (from Suddenly Salad box), mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons of the reserved pineapple juice to make dressing. (Discard or save any remaining juice for another use.)

HAM PASTA SALAD
I "invented" this salad as I went along...it's a combination of various pasta salad recipes I'd seen. It can be served as a side dish, of course. In summer, however, my husband doesn't care for hot meals, so I make it as a main dish. We're recent city transplants with two young children, ages 6 and 3.
