Styled after the classic Hawaiian sweet bread and very good.

Steps:
- Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Light setting; press Start.

HIPPIE BREAD
Mom got this recipe in the early 70's from someone at work. This is a great bread for sandwiches or even a rustic style supper. The bread is a coarse style bread - full of air holes but loaded with fresh made bread flavor. No need for a bread machine for this bread! Prep time does not include overnight rise time.

Steps:
- In large mixing bowl, dump all ingredients together and stir until blended well.
- Cover with a towel and lid (for weight) and let stand overnight.
- DO NOT STIR OR KNEAD.
- In the morning, prep 3 loaf pans by greasing well with shortening or butter. Pour batter direct from bowl into the loaf pans, dividing the dough evenly.
- Bake immediately in pre-heated 350º oven for 30 minutes. Bread is done when golden brown and when tapped lightly gives a hollowed sound.
- Remove from pans immediately and let cool on wire rack.
- *If mixture looks too dry you can add extra water as needed.
- **Options - Sprinkle sesame seeds or dried onion flakes to the top of the bread if desired.
- Freeze baked bread (wrap well and place in freezer safe bag) when completely cooled for later use. Shelf/counter life of baked bread is 3-4 days maximum.
EASY PUMPKIN BREAD
A friend of mine graciously shared her "secret recipe" for this bread with me. It's become such a family favorite that I'm not allowed to enter my family's get-togethers without this bread in hand!

Steps:
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Combine dry ingredients; gradually stir into creamed mixture just until moistened. Beat in pumpkin. , Transfer to two greased 9x5-in. loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool.

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter an 8×4-inch loaf pan. Line with parchment paper, extending parchment over two sides of pan. Lightly butter parchment.
- In a large bowl stir together olive oil and brown sugar, breaking up any lumps. Add maple syrup and vanilla; stir until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each. Stir in bananas. Add flour mixture, stirring until just combined. Stir in walnuts, cherries, sunflower kernels, and pepitas. Spoon batter into pan.
- Bake 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes. Using parchment, lift bread out of pan. Remove parchment; let cool completely.
