I've never come across another spritz cookie like this - one calling for cream cheese as an ingredient. That helps to keep these wreaths moist a long time, while also adding a delicious flavor. -Dee Lein, Longmont, Colorado

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Cream butter and cream cheese. Add sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla. Gradually beat in flour. , Using a cookie press fitted with a star piping tip, shape dough into 2-1/2-in. wreaths 1 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake until set (do not brown), 8-10 minutes. Cool on wire racks., Decorate with green cherry pieces for leaves and Red Hots for berries. Use red decorating icing to form bows and adhere candy to wreaths.

Steps:

  • Unroll pizza dough. Place dough side by side on a baking sheet with two short sides touching; pinch to seal. Cut a 2 inch strip from one short side; set aside. Brush the remaining dough with salad dressing within 1/2 in. of edge. Top with turkey, cheese, red pepper and onions. Roll up, jelly-roll style, starting with a long side; pinch seam to seal. Place seam side down on an un-greased baking sheet; form a ring and pinch ends together. Beat one egg yolk; brush over dough. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, for glaze, beat remaining egg yolk; divide between two custard cups. Tint one green and one red. On a floured surface, roll out reserved dough to 1/8-in. thickness. Use a small cookie cutter to cut out nine holly leaves, about 2 inches long. Or outline leaf shapes on the dough with a small new paintbrush dipped in green glaze; cut out leaves with a paring knife. Apply green glaze to holly leaves. Shape remaining dough into nine small balls for holly berries; brush with red glaze. Arrange leaves and berries in groups of three on hot dough. Bake 5 minutes longer or until wreath is golden brown.

Steps:

  • Line 1 cookie sheet with foil. Place cereal in large bowl. Melt candy melts as directed on package. Pour melted candy over cereal; toss to mix.
  • For each wreath, drop about 3 tablespoons mixture onto foil-lined cookie sheet. With fingers, shape into 3-inch wreath with 1-inch center opening. Immediately decorate with cinnamon candies. Let stand about 5 minutes or until set.

  • Spread butter over one side of each slice of bread. In a bowl, combine the ham salad ingredients. In another bowl, combine the chicken salad, apple and sour cream. , Spread ham salad on half of the rye bread slices; top with remaining rye. Steps:

  • Unroll dough and place side by side on a baking sheet with small sides touching.
  • Pinch to seal.
  • Cut a 2 inch strip from one short side and set aside.
  • Brush the remaining dough with mustard to 1/2 inch of the edges.
  • Top with ham and cheese.
  • Roll up jelly roll style, starting with a long side.
  • Pinch seam to seal.

  • Beat 1 egg yolk and brush over dough.
