HOME-STYLE WHITE BREAD
I often serve this bread with meals because I can use my bread machine to make it. It is a real time saver when I know I will have a busy day. I can assemble the ingredients in the morning, set the timer and come home to a fresh loaf for supper.-Yvonne Nave, Lyons, Kansas

Steps:
- In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available. Bake according to bread machine directions (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed).

HOME STYLE WHITE (FOR THE BREAD MACHINE)
This is a bread like Grandma used to make, rich and full-bodies enough to dinner rolls or piled-high sandwiches from heaven! The egg adds texture missing in store-bought and helps make this elegant loaf as versatile as it is basic. I love this recipe. It is a standard and one of my favorites! From Electric Bread.

- Combine all ingredients according to your manufactor's directions.
- Makes one 1 1/2 pound loaf.
- Success Hints: The honey in this recipe makes the loaf prone to a darker crust; use a"light crust" setting when possible.

- During kneading, dough may appear wet.
- This is normal.
- This recipe may be made using the regular and rapid bake cycles.

SOFT AND EASY WHITE BREAD (BREAD MACHINE)
Another of my "go to" easy bread machine recipes. This promises to be fail proof and turns out a soft bread w/ a flaky crust. Perfect for all uses; my favorite is a big slice popped in the micro for 10 seconds and then slathered w/ butter for that "hot out the oven" goodness!

- 1. Place water, sugar, and yeast in bread pan. Allow yeast to dissolve and foam for 10 minutes.
- 2. Add oil, flour, and salt (ending w/ salt on top of flour) to yeast mixture in bread pan. Select basic or white bread setting.

- Add the ingredients in the order listed to the bread maker pan. The ingredients are listed in the order that Cuisinart machines require them to go. Check your brand's manual for the correct order to add ingredients. If it differs, add them in the order that your manual states.
- Select the basic/white bread setting. Choose the 2 lb loaf size and your preferred crust color. *see notes for making a smaller loaf
- Optional: At the end of the last kneading cycle, remove the kneading paddle. If you miss this step, remove the paddle using oven mitts after the bread cools.
- When baking is complete, remove from the bread pan immediately. Cool on a wire rack for at least 15-30 minutes before slicing.
