- Whisk together the beef stock, cornstarch, onion powder, soy sauce and bouillon cube in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, whisking occasionally, and cook until slightly thickened, about 1 minute. Turn off the heat and whisk in the heavy cream.

- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour until fragrant, 10 to 12 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in cold stock. Reduce heat to low. Bring gravy to a simmer, and cook and stir until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in heavy cream, and season with salt, white pepper, and cayenne pepper.

- Mix all ingredients well and store in a tightly sealed container.
- To make Gravy: Discard all but 2 tablespoons of the oil used to fry the chicken (or melt 2 tablespoons unsalted butter) in a skillet.
- Over low heat, mix in 2 tablespoons of the Country Gravy Mix.
- Stirring constantly, cook about 2 minutes. Whisk in 1 cup chicken broth, scraping browned bits off bottom of skillet.
- Stir in 1 cup milk and bring all to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer about 5 minutes.
- Serve immediately with chicken, mashed potatoes or biscuits.
