These cookies are similar to Anzac biscuits, but are not as hard. They are very quick to make, and go down well with a cup of tea.

Steps:
- Boil butter or margarine and syrup together. Add soda. You should end up with a frothy mixture after soda is added. Stir in coconut, flour, sugar, and oats, and stir well. Press mixture lightly into a large baking tray.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Cool, and cut into bars.

These are simple, wholesome, ingredients that combine to create an "old world" flavor that reminds me of Baklava.

Steps:
- 1. In a large bowl, mix the oats, coconut, pecans and flour.
- 2. In a heavy sauce pan, heat the brown sugar, butter and honey until it reaches a boil.
- 3. Pour the honey mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well.
- 4. Drop the dough by rounded teaspoon into greased muffin tins so that the cookies retain their shape.
- 5. Bake in a preheated 350 oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
- 6. Cool in the pan.

Steps:
- Combine flours, baking soda and baking powder.
- Mix well.
- Cream margarine, brown sugar, honey, egg and yogurt together thoroughly.
- Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, mixing well.
- Stir in cereals and coconut.
- Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto UNgreased baking sheets.
- Press lightly with floured fork.
- Bake at 350ºF for 7-9 minutes, or until light golden.
- Don't overbake.
- Cool on baking sheets 3 minutes, then remove and cool completely on wire racks.
