- Place the apple cider, apple juice, cinnamon sticks, and sugar into a large pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat, and discard the cinnamon sticks. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then stir in the grain alcohol. Pour into quart-size canning jars, seal with the lids and rings, and refrigerate until ready to serve.

- In a large pot, combine the apple juice, ginger ale and brown sugar. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes. Cool to room temperature. This can be served warm, but don't heat too much or the alcohol will burn off.

This tastes just like apple pie. I was amazed to discover it even has a hint of crust flavor to it also! You can add more everclear or vodka if you like to make it stronger, but I like it just the way it is. I got the recipe from a new friend I made while on vacation recently. Make sure you use glass bottles. The drink ferments weird and seems to degrade plastic ones! The serving size and yield are approximate.
