BOW TIES WITH SAUSAGE, TOMATOES AND CREAM
A friend gave this recipe to me a few years back, and my family can't seem to get enough of it. It sounds strange with cream in it, but that just enhances the flavor and texture. This is a very easy recipe.

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain.
- Heat oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage and pepper flakes until sausage is evenly brown. Stir in onion and garlic, and cook until onion is tender. Stir in tomatoes, cream, and salt. Simmer until mixture thickens, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Stir cooked pasta into sauce, and heat through. Sprinkle with parsley.

BOW TIE PASTA BAKE
This is pasta packed with flavor. The dry salad dressing mix gives it that extra punch. It has only 4 ingredients, so it falls into my favorite cooking category - quick and easy! I got this from Quick Cooking magazine and modified it a little. The original recipe called for only a 16 oz jar of garlic and onion spaghetti sauce, but I use any flavor of sauce and increased the jar size to 26 oz.

- Cook and then drain pasta.
- In a bowl, combine the spaghetti sauce and salad dressing mix.
- Add pasta and toss to coat.
- Transfer to a greased shallow 2-qt baking dish.
- Sprinkle with all of the cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until heated through.

- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain., Meanwhile, in a 6-qt. stockpot, cook and crumble sausage with onion and pepper flakes over medium heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute. Drain., Stir in tomatoes, cream, salt and basil; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until thickened, 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. - In one bowl, mix flour, salt and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, blend egg, butter and vanilla.
- Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the egg mixture, mix until a stiff dough forms.
- Add sherry a tablespoon at a time until the dough becomes smooth and pliable.
- Cover and chill 2 hours.
