KALAKHAND MILK CAKE BARFI

This sweet dish is the perfect sweet that you would buy in South India. It transports me to the sweet shops in India where they are made with pure ghee (clarified butter). Almost everyone of my American friends asks for this easy and delicious recipe!!! If you like cheesecake you will LOVE this sweet. I learned to make this from my wonderful MIL!!

Kalakhand Milk Cake Barfi image

Steps:

  • Blend all the ingredients with melted butter and place in a baking pan.
  • Bake at 350 deg F.
  • Stir the mixture frequently, more frequently as it begins to brown (to even out the browning).
  • When the mixture is a light golden brown, it is ready to be taken out of the oven.
  • Cool, pat it down and cut into squares.
  • Enjoy!
