KAREN A'S CHOCOLATE DUMP CAKE
This rich chocolate cake is very easy to make.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease one 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
- Combine chocolate pudding and milk in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until thick, stirring frequently.
- Remove pan from heat and add in dry cake mix. Mix together and pour into the lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Evenly spread the chocolate chips over the top of the cake.
- Bake at 350 degrees F(175 degrees C) for 40 to 45 minutes. Let cake cool and serve.

- 1. MIX THOROUGHLY THE 1ST 3 INGREDIENTS, FLOUR, BUTTER & NUTS. OR YOU COULD USE GRAHAM CRACKER, OR COOKIE CRUSTS. PAT INTO 9 X 13 PAN. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 15 MINUTES
- 2. SECOND LAYER: MIX CREAM CHEESE, POWDERED SUGAR AND COOL WHIP. AND SPREAD ON TOP OF CRUST. CHILL THOROUGHLY.
- 3. THIRD LAYER: MIX INSTANT PUDDING, MILK, VANILLA TOGETHER AND BEAT UNTIL THICK. POUR OVER SECOND LAYER. CHILL AGAIN.
- 4. FOURTH LAYER: TOP WITH COOL WHIP AND SPRINKLE CHOPPED NUTS ON TOP. CHILL UNTIL READY TO USE

- Crust layer: Mix flour, butter and pecans and press into the bottom of a 9 X 13-inch dish or pan. Bake at 325°F for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely.
- For the bottom layer over crust, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1 cup Cool Whip. This is easiest to mix with an electric mixer. Spread over crust. Chill each layer for about 20 minutes in the freezer before adding the next to give everything a chance to firm up.
- For the second layer, mix together puddings and milk. Mix according to package directions. Spread over cream cheese layer. You can chill for another 20 minutes in the freezer to make spreading the Cool Whip easier.
- Top with remaining Cool Whip and sprinkle with grated chocolate, if desired. Let the dessert chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
