Steps:

  • Cube doughnuts, place in large bowl. Pour sweetened condensed milk over doughnuts and toss lightly to evenly coat the chunks. In a small bowl whisk eggs, cinnamon and salt; pour over doughnut chunks. Stir until evenly distributed and set aside. Once coated pour into the dish. Let set for 10 to 15 minutes to absorb as much moisture as possible. Bake at 350°F for approximately 30 to 40 minutes; until slightly crisp on top. You want the bread pudding to be moist, but no raw egg. While baking make icing: In a microwave safe bowl melt butter. Add vanilla and stir well. Slowly whisk in powdered sugar working out lumps. Pour over hot bread pudding. Serve immediately.

Butter Icing:
1 dozen Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
1 small can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
Vanilla extract, to taste
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 cups powdered sugar

Steps:

  • preheat oven to 350.
  • spray a 13x9 inch glass dish with cooking spray.
  • In a very large bowl, tear or cut the doughnuts into 1 inch cubes.
  • In another bowl combine the milk, fruit, eggs, raisins, salt and cinnamon.
  • Pour mixture over doughnuts and stir to combine.
  • Pour doughnut mixture into tray.
  • Bake the pudding for one hour.
  • To make the butter rum sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.Slowly stir in powdered sugar. Remove from heat and whisk in rum, pour over pudding.

Steps:

  • 1. Mix by hand, donuts, condensed milk, raisins, fruit cocktail, eggs and cinnamon.
  • 2. Put into buttered casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  • 3. Sauce: Melt butter ih a skillet. In a bowl, mix butter, confectioner's sugar and liquor. If too thick, thin with a little more liquor. Pour over bread pudding when serving.

1 dozen krispy kreme donuts, quartered
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 box raisins
1 can(s) fruit cocktail, canned
cinnamon to taste
3 eggs, beaten
SAUCE:
1 stick butter
1 box confectioners' sugar
2 Tbsp rum or whiskey or kahlua or ameretto or liquor or extract of your preference

Variation on regular bread pudding using stale Krispy Kreme donuts. You can half the entire recipe and bake in 9x9 baking pan instead. Prefer to use glass pans since does need sometime in refrigerator.

Steps:

  • Coat 9x13 baking pan lightly with Pam or similar.
  • Cut donuts into 8 pieces and place in baking pan.
  • Combine all ingredients except for glaze in medium bowl and whisk together.
  • Pour mixture over donuts in baking pan and let sit in fridge for 30 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap. Can let sit over night if you can. If that is possible, use glass pan and not metal.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees when close to removal time from fridge.
  • Using a spatula, flip donuts over in pan and compress to ensure they are covered in mixture and fairly uniform depth.
  • Remove plastic wrap from pan and replace with aluminum foil and place in oven for 35 minutes.
  • Remove foil after 35 minutes and bake for at least 10 minutes until top starts to turn golden and the mix starts to puff up.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Combine milk and confectioner's sugar in small bowl and whisk together.
  • Drizzle over top of donut mix with tablespoon.
  • Serve warm and vanilla ice cream is a great complement to this.
  • You can half the entire recipe and bake in 9x9 baking pan and the bake time is about 10% faster.

  • Whisk together half-and-half, eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla in a medium bowl until well combined. Pour mixture over doughnuts in baking dish; let sit 1 hour.
  • Place baking dish inside of a metal 9x13 baking dish. Fill 9x13 dish with water, allowing water to come halfway up the sides of the 11x7 dish, creating a water bath. Place water bath in preheated oven and bake 40-43 minutes, or until custard is just set. Remove from oven and let cool in water bath until just cool enough to handle, about 30 minutes. Remove 11x7 dish from water bath to scoop and serve.
  • Butter Bourbon Sauce: Stir together sugar, water, and corn syrup in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium until sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Increase heat to medium high and cook, occasionally brushing sides of saucepan with a wet pastry brush, until mixture darkens to a deep amber color, about 6-7 minutes. Remove from heat and pour in cream (mixture will bubble vigorously); stir in butter, bourbon, and salt until well combined. Let cool 5 minutes, then spoon sauce over Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding and vanilla ice cream, if desired.
