Steps:

  • Add the ketchup, sugar, vinegar, onion, paprika and Worcestershire to a food processor bowl.
  • Pulse until blended.
  • With the processor running, slowly add the oil.
  • Check the seasonings.
  • Cover and refrigerate until needed.

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup onion, grated
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup salad oil
salt and pepper

  • Blend sugar, red wine vinegar, canola oil, ketchup, paprika, onion powder, celery flakes, and seasoning blend together in a blender until smooth.

MARMIE'S " BETTER THAN CATALINA" DRESSING

This is crazy easy and so delicious! It is similar to Catalina but much yummier. Fantastic on taco salad! If you like it a bit tangier, simply add a bit more vinegar to taste. I find that it keeps for a long time in the fridge...when I make a huge batch!

  • Can also blend with a hand held blender instead if desired.

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend briefly. Can add water if onion is particularly strong.
  • They can be just shaken in a jar for a less emulsified dressing. both ways are great. Lasts for a couple weeks in the fridge.
