CHAMPIONSHIP BEAN DIP
My friends and neighbors expect me to bring this irresistible dip to every gathering. When I arrive, they ask, "You brought your bean dip, didn't you?" If there are any leftovers, we use them to make bean and cheese burritos the next day. I've given out this recipe a hundred times. -Wendi Wavrin Law, Omaha, Nebraska

- In a large bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients; transfer to a 1-1/2-qt. slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or until heated through, stirring once or twice. Serve with tortilla chips and salsa.

SECRET RESTAURANT REFRIED BEAN DIP
When I buy a can of refried beans they never taste as good as restaurant refried bean dip. I found this recipe and it tasted great!

Steps:
- 1. Finely chop jalapeno and shred cheese. Sqeeze one fresh lime.
- 2. Mix refried beans and sour cream.
- 3. Add all ingredients together and mix.
- 4. Microwave on high for one minute intervals until all cheese is melted.
- 5. Serve with your favorite chips, my favorite chips are Juanitas! You can also add some salsa for flavor. My favorite (after many tested) salsa is Herdez! Next to homemade Herdez is the best!
MAS RESTAURANT BEAN DIP
This is my all time favorite bean dip. It's a lot of work - but worth the time and effort. (The prep time doesn't include time needed to soak the beans)

Steps:
- Wash beans; discard bad ones.
- Cook bacon in large pot on med low until cooked but not crisp.
- Add garlic; cook 1 min.
- Add beans, thyme& enough water to cover by at least 3".
- Boil, partly cover& simmer to tender (removing any foam)- about 1 hr, 20 min.
- Drain beans.
- Remove thyme stalks (the leaves fall off during cooking).
- Transfer to blender; add cumin, chili powder, chipotles& salt; turn to mix.
- Slowly add olive oil.
- Blend for desired consistency.
- Adjust seasoning w/salt& pepper.
- Serve w/crusty bread or tortilla chips.

- Add all ingredients to a medium saucepan: no need to drain or rinse the beans (add the can liquid too)! Warm it over medium heat until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes. Mash beans gently with a masher if you’d like a smoother texture. Taste and add another pinch of salt if necessary.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips. If desired, you can garnish with chopped veggies: we used a bit of finely chopped tomato, red onion and green onion with a drizzle of Cholula hot sauce.
