MASA PARA TAMALES

Los tamales mas exquisitos comienzan con una masa bien preparada. Esta receta básica y sencilla, será la base ideal para cualquier tamal delicioso.

Masa para tamales image

Steps:

  • Mezcla bien la masa harina, la manteca, la sal y el polvo para hornear en un tazón grande con una cuchara de madera. Poco a poco agrega 4 tazas de agua caliente, revolviendo después de cada adición, hasta formar una masa firme. (Si la masa sigue seca, poco a poco añade suficiente agua de la que queda hasta formar una masa firme.)
  • Arma los tamales, usando 2 cdas. de la masa y 1 ó 2 cdas. del relleno de tu preferencia para cada tamal.
  • Cocínalos al vapor en una tamalera durante 1 hora. Enfríalos ligeramente.
