HONEYDEW COCKTAIL
A cocktail worthy of Fred Astaire -- honeydew, lime juice, mint, and vodka, whirred in a blender and poured over crushed ice.

- Place melon, lime juice, mint, sugar, and vodka in a bar blender. Blend until smooth, about 45 seconds. Pour through a cheesecloth-lined strainer into a pitcher.
- Place ice in 12-ounce glasses; pour liquid over ice. Swizzle and serve.

Steps:
- Place cubed watermelon in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl through a mesh strainer to remove pulp. Measure out 2 cups of strained watermelon juice and set aside.
- Place mint leaves in the bottom of a pitcher. Pour in 1/2 the watermelon juice; muddle mint leaves with a muddler or the bottom of a wooden spoon.
- Pour remaining watermelon juice, lime juice, rum, and simple syrup into the pitcher. Fill with ice and top with club soda. Serve.

This is a really funny thing I saw an American friend of mine make. Great for a barbie or party. Wish I'd known about this when I was going to school parties-I could have walked in with my watermelon and got all my mates completely sloshed!
