MORRIS FAMILY'S CHEESE BALL

My aunts make this cheese ball whenever we have family gatherings, they'd be in big trouble if they didn't!! Super easy to make, and it's gone before you know it!!

Steps:

Mix French onion soup mix with container of Sour cream.
Mix 1 cup of dip (above mixture), and cream cheese. Use beaters to make smooth.
Add old cheese and Cracker crumbs. Mix well.
Seperate into balls.
Roll each ball in chopped nuts.
Wrap in tin foil.
Chill in fridge or freezer.
Makes 2 large balls or 4 small balls.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
3 cups old cheese (grated)
1/2 cup cracker crumb (any kind)
1 cup walnuts, chopped (or pecans)

Well, it's not really opossum, just sausage! But that's what my home ec teacher in high school liked to call them, so it kinda stuck. Our class was skeptical at first, but then we were begging to make them everyday! Simple and delicious, Mmm!

Steps:

Combine ingredients together.
Shape into walnut-sized balls.
Bake on a cookie sheet at 375 degrees F for 10-15 minutes.
Note: Sausage cheese balls may be frozen after baking. *Yield is approximate, I couldn't remember exact. :).

Steps:

In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, blue cheese, butter, olives, green onions, garlic salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Cover, and refrigerate 30 minutes, until firm.
Form the mixture into 2 balls, and roll in the walnuts to coat.

Cut bacon into small pieces and sauté until cooked. Once cooled, set aside 1/4 of the bacon for the topping.
In a bowl, add 3/4 of the bacon, 1/4 cup sour cream, 16 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup four-cheese blend, 1 cup cheddar cheese, 3 Tbsp green onions, 1/4 cup walnuts, 3 Tbsp Ranch seasoning, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp pepper, and 1 tsp poppy seeds. With a wooden spatula, mix all ingredients until well combined.
Finely chop the remaining 1/4 of bacon, 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, 1 Tbsp green onion, and 1/4 cup walnuts. Mix together with the 1/4 tsp poppy seed. Spread this mixture onto a cutting board.
Form a ball out of the cheese mixture and roll the cheese ball over the toppings to fully coat and shape into an even ball as it's coated. Serve right away or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
