VEGAN CASHEW PARMESAN

This vegan cheese is easy to prepare and just as tasy as the real deal. There's no cooking involved, simply blitz and sprinkle over your favourite pasta dish for a bit of extra zing

Vegan cashew Parmesan image

Steps:

  • Place all the ingredients and 1 tsp salt in a small food processor and blitz until it becomes a coarse powder. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the cupboard for up to 1 week.

  • Add agar agar and coconut oil mixture, nutritional yeast, and a generous amount of salt to ground nuts, and pulse until incorporated.
  • Place cheese into a mold of your choice (I like to make one out of parchment paper, to resemble a parmesan shape), and press down lightly, if needed. Place in the fridge for at least 4 hours to let it set.
