Steps:

1. For the crust: mix together all the crust ingredients listed. Press evenly into a 9x13 baking dish. For the filling: mix together all the ingredients listed. Spread evenly over the crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. The top should be light brown. Be careful to not OVERBAKE. Cool completely, then cut into bars. **Use only butter! It will not come out right if you use margarine.

1 box yellow cake mix
1 large egg
1 c nuts, chopped
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c **butter, softened
FILLING:
1 box (16oz.) powdered sugar
1 pkg (8oz.) cream cheese, softened
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

Mix Yellow cake mix, 1 egg, and stick of butter in bowl.
Spread evenly in 13 x 9 cake pan.
Mix 1 egg, box of powdered sugar, and box of cream cheese in bowl.
Pour over and spread evenly over cake in pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Cut into bars and serve.
Best served warm.

Steps:

Mix crust ingredients and press into 9x13" cake pan.
With mixer mix powdered sugar, butter and cream cheese until combined.
Fold pecans into filling mixture.
Pour filling over crust.
Bake 1 hr to 1 hr 15 min at 300 degrees.
Let bars cool and cut into squares.

For "only two-fifty," the waitress said, it was hers. But when the credit card bill arrived, the woman found the total near $300. Turns out the recipe cost $250, the story goes. In 1997, after years of enduring the myth, Neiman Marcus came up with a recipe - and gave it out for free. It's a delicious variation on chocolate chip cookies, using ground oatmeal, nuts and adding extra chocolate with a grated Hershey bar (you can use any brand you love).

Steps:

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream together butter and both sugars. Stir in eggs and vanilla.
Finely grind oatmeal in a blender or food processor. Combine the oatmeal, flour, salt, baking powder and soda in a medium bowl, and slowly add it to the wet ingredients. Beat just until combined. Grate chocolate bar using a microplane grater and add it, along with chocolate chips and nuts to the batter. Mix just to combine.
Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch metal pan. If you want more edges, divide between two 8 inch square pans. I like to line the pan with foil and grease the foil, but that's completely optional.
In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, 2 room temperature eggs and softened, mushy butter. Beat until smooth. Drop gobs of cake mix mixture into pan. Dampen your fingers with some water and press gently to cover pan evenly.
In the same bowl you used for the cake mix (and no need to wash it), beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, remaining room temperature eggs and vanilla until smooth. Spread on top of crust mixture.
Bake 32-38 minutes until edges are brown and center is set but still a little wobbly. If using two 8 inch square pans, check at 28 minutes.
