Paletas mosaico de gelatina JELL-O image

Steps:

  • Pon las gelatinas en tazones aparte y vierte sobre cada una de ellas 2/3 taza del agua hirviendo; revuélvelas durante 2 min. hasta que se terminen de disolver. Viértelas por separado en moldes para pan de 8x4 pulgs. que hayas rociado con aceite en aerosol. Refrigéralas 1 hora o hasta que ya estén duras.
  • Desmolda las gelatinas; córtalas en cubos de 1/2 pulg. Bate con un batidor de varillas no eléctrico la mezcla para pudín y la leche en un tazón mediano durante 2 min. Agrega los cubos de gelatina; revuélvelos con cuidado.
  • Pon el postre en 8 tacitas de papel (5 oz). Inserta un palito de madera en el centro de cada una. Congélalas 4 horas o hasta que ya esté dura la gelatina. Despega las paletas de las tacitas de papel antes de servir.

GELATINA DE MOSAICO

This recipe for mosaic jello uses gelatina de leche as a base in which colorful cubes of three other gelatin flavors are suspended.

Steps:

  • Lightly coat three 8-inch square pans and one 9 × 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  • In three separate bowls, mix each package of flavored gelatin with 2 cups boiling water. Pour each into its own greased square pan. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • After the jellos have been in the fridge for 30 minutes, make the milk gelatin. In a 3-quart saucepan, mix the gelatin into 1 cup water. Set aside for about 5 minutes so the gelatin can bloom. Set the saucepan over medium-low heat and stir occasionally until the gelatin has dissolved. Add the whole milk and heat to just under a simmer. Add the cinnamon stick, remove from the heat, and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the cinnamon stick and whisk in the condensed milk, half-and- half, and vanilla extract. Set aside while you prep the colored gelatins.
  • Remove the colored gelatins from the refrigerator and cut each flavor into 1-inch cubes. Evenly spread out and mix each flavor in the 9 × 13-inch pan. Pour the milk jello over the cubes.
  • Refrigerate until set and firm, 2 to 3 hours.
  • When you're ready to serve, invert the gelatina onto a cutting board, cut into 3- to 4-inch cubes, and place on a serving platter.

3 (6 ounce) packages flavored gelatin dessert of your choice
6 cups boiling water
4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin (from about 6 packets)
3 cups whole milk
1 (4-inch) stick Mexican cinnamon, broken in half
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups half-and-half
1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Hierve 4-1/2 tazas de agua. Disuelve por separado y en 3 recipientes aparte el paquete de gelatina con sabor a fresa, el paquete de gelatina con sabor a naranja y 1 paquete de la gelatina con sabor a limón en 1-1/2 taza de agua hirviendo cada uno. Coloca por separado cada una de las gelatinas de diferente sabor en moldes cuadrados de 8 pulgadas. Enfría las gelatinas en la nevera al menos 40 min. o hasta que estén firmes. Córtalas en cubos de 1/2 pulgada; refrigéralas hasta el momento de su uso.
  • Hierve el agua restante. Añade los paquetes de gelatina con sabor a limón restantes; revuelve hasta que se hayan disuelto. Agrega la leche evaporada y revuelve. Vierte esto en un molde acanalado con tubo central o en un molde para gelatina de 12 tazas de capacidad rociado con aceite en aerosol. Refrigera la gelatina 30 min.
  • Coloca los cubos de gelatina en el molde con mucho cuidado; revuelve suavemente. Refrigéralo durante 2 horas o hasta que la gelatina esté firme. Desmolda el postre antes de servirlo.

  • Make the different jello flavors according to the instructions on the box. Do this the night before so the jello has time to solidify. (see important note below #1)
  • Once the jello is very solid, cut it into squares with a knife and lift from mold using a spatula or a flat spoon. Carefully & gently mix all of the jello flavors in a large bowl.
  • To make the Gelatine (Grenatina), add the 4 envelopes (1 oz each so 4 oz total) in a ½ cup of cold water. Mix well with a fork. Let it rest for at least 5 minutes or until it's solidified.
  • In a separate medium to large bowl, add the evaporated milk, the condensed milk and the media crema (or regular milk) and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract. Mix with a whisk until incorporated well.
