Garlic-Parmesan Pretzels image

Steps:

  • Toss 4 cups mini pretzel twists with 6 tablespoons melted butter, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1 grated garlic clove in a large bowl. Spread on a baking sheet and bake at 350˚ until lightly toasted but not dry, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a separate bowl and toss with 1/4 cup grated parmesan and 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Toss together cheese, pretzels and red pepper flakes. Place 2 teaspoons mixture in each greased nonstick mini muffin cup., Bake until golden brown, 10-15 minutes. If desired, serve with pizza sauce and basil.

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the sugar, butter, salt and 2 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough (dough will be sticky)., Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. , In a large saucepan, bring 8 cups water and baking soda to a boil. Punch dough down; divide into 32 portions. Roll each into a 5-in. log. Add to boiling water, a few at a time, for 30 seconds. Remove with a slotted spoon; drain on paper towels., Place on greased baking sheets. Lightly beat egg yolk and cold water; brush over pretzels. If desired, sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake 425° until golden brown, 9-11 minutes. Remove from pans to wire racks. Serve warm with cheese sauce, if desired.

Bacon Parmesan Pretzels image

Steps:

  • Wrap a slice of bacon around each pretzel rod.
  • Place on a microwave safe dish covered with two layers of paper towels.
  • Microwave for 2-2 1/2 minutes or until bacon is cooked to a golden brown.
  • Carefully remove from oven and roll each pretzel rod in a plate covered with parmesan cheese.
  • Stand upright in a mug or attractive dish to serve.
