This is from a Pillsbury "great for parties" booklet. It sounds really good, and looks nice.

Pea Pod Wrap-Ups image

Steps:

  • Place shrimp in medium bowl.
  • Pour dressing evenly over shrimp; stir to coat.
  • Cover; refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, remove stem and strings from pea pods.
  • To partially cook pea pods, place in boiling water about 1 minute or until pea pods turn bright green.
  • Drain; rinse with cold water and dry with paper towels.
  • Drain dressing from shrimp.
  • Wrap 1 pea pod around each shrimp; secure with toothpick.
  • Cover; refrigerate until serving time.

Steps:

  • Heat oil in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add pea pods and sesame seed. Cook about 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until pea pods are crisp-tender.
  • Stir in bell pepper. Cook about 2 minutes, stirrng frequently, until bell pepper is crisp-tender.

Shrimp and Pea Pod Casserole image

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Cook and drain pasta as directed on package.
  • Meanwhile, in 4-quart saucepan or Dutch oven, melt butter over low heat. Cook mushrooms and garlic in butter, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Gradually stir in milk, sherry and broth until smooth. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Stir in Fontina cheese until melted; remove from heat.
  • Stir pasta, shrimp and pea pods into mushroom mixture. Pour into baking dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and almonds.
  • Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.

Beef with Pea Pods image

Steps:

  • Trim fat from beef. Cut beef with grain into 2-inch strips; cut strips across grain into 1/4-inch slices.
  • Heat 10-inch skillet or wok over high heat 1 to 2 minutes. Add oil; rotate skillet to coat with oil. Add beef and garlic; stir-fry about 3 minutes or until beef is brown. Sprinkle salt and pepper over beef; stir in broth. Heat to boiling.
  • Mix cornstarch, water and soy sauce; stir into beef mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Continue boiling 1 minute, stirring constantly (sauce will be thin).
  • Stir in gingerroot and pea pods. Cook uncovered about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pea pods are crisp-tender. Serve over rice.
