Steps:

  • In a pitcher, stir together the first 8 ingredients. For each serving, pour about 1 cup over ice with 1/4 cup vodka; add optional garnishes as desired.

Steps:

  • Pour all ingredients, except for the celery sticks, into a pitcher and use a celery stick to stir, leave it in the pitcher: Bloody Mary needs a stir before each pouring.

1 1/3 cups (about 10 ounces) chili vodka, or ordinary vodka and a few splashes hot sauce (recommended: Tabasco)
Splash dry sherry
2 1/2 cups (about 20 ounces) tomato juice, chilled
1/4 to 1/2 a lemon, juiced
Few shakes celery salt
Few dashes Worcestershire sauce
Good sprinkling Maldon or other sea salt
1 celery stick

Ultimate Bloody Marys image

Steps:

  • In a large pitcher, stir together the tomato juice, clam juice, and lime zest. In a small glass measuring cup, whisk together the lime juice and wasabi powder and add to the pitcher. Stir in the Tabasco, Worcestershire, vodka, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
  • Spread the Old Bay Seasoning on a small plate. Moisten the rims of six highball glasses by running a lime wedge around the edge of each glass and dip the rims in the Old Bay Seasoning. Set aside to dry.
  • Fill the glasses half full with ice and pour in the Bloody Mary mixture. For each drink, add 2 or 3 olives threaded on a 6-inch skewer, then place one shrimp and one slice of lime on the rim of each glass. Serve cold.

2 (8-ounce) bottles clam juice, such Bumble Bee
1/2 teaspoon grated lime zest
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (3 to 4 limes)
2 teaspoons wasabi powder

Steps:

  • Cut the celery in large dice, including the leaves, and puree in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the steel blade. Process until finely minced. In a large pitcher, combine the rest of the ingredients except the vodka. With the food processor running, pour 1/4 of the tomato juice mixture into the food processor through the feed tube. Then pour the contents of the food processor into the pitcher with the remaining tomato juice mixture. Add the vodka and chill. Serve in tall glasses over ice with a stick of celery.

3 large stalks celery from the heart, including leaves, plus extra for serving
36 ounces tomato juice (recommended: Sacramento)

My husband brought this recipe to me from our local paper last weekend. He is a Bloody Mary lover and I wouldn't want this one to get away. Dan'l says this recipe is a winner!! Why make one glass, when you can make a pitcher full? This recipe makes 4-5 pint sized servings.

Bloody Mary (By the Pitcher) image

Steps:

  • Combine tomato juice, Clamato juice and vodka in a large pitcher and stir to blend.
  • Add remaining ingredients (except hot sauce) and stir with a wooden spoon until all is well blended.
  • Taste, then add hot sauce depending on how spicy you like your bloody mary (my husband likes plenty of spice!).
  • On a small plate, combine coarse salt and Old Bay seasoning.
  • Run a lemon or lime slice around the rim of your glass, then dip the rim into the Old Bay/salt mixture.
  • Add ice to your glass (if desired) and pour in the bloody mary mixture.
  • Garnish with desired items.
