This is a wonderful fast-to-fix munchie. The recipe makes tons and doesn't involve any cooking. It's a cinch to package in individual snack bags, it keeps its crunch and it's a savory alternative to the cakes and pies usually offered at bake sales. -Linda Murphy, Pulaski, Wisconsin

- In 2 large bowls, combine the pretzels, Bugles, cashews and crackers. Sprinkle with dressing mix; toss gently to combine. Drizzle with oil; toss until well coated. Store in airtight containers.

- Mix together in shaker jar, oil, dressing mix, dill weed, garlic powder. shake well Mix together all the rest of ingredients. Add to a large roaster. Pour dressing mix slowly over crackers, stirring as you do. Cook at 200 for 1 hou,r stirring ever 15 minutes to blend seasoning in.

These snacks are a Christmas tradition for my in-laws. They are high in fat but are a nice break from the traditional nuts & bolts.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 275.
- Place rack in middle of oven.
- Place all 4 types of crackers in a roasting pan.
- Mix melted margarine, oil, ranch dressing and dill in a bowl.
- Pour margarine mixture over crackers and stir until all crackers are well coated.
- Put roasting pan in oven (not covered).
- Cook for 45 minutes stirring every 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and cool.
- Taste best when cool.

- Combine cereals, pretzels and nuts. In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to coat. Spread in an ungreased 15x10-in. rimmed pan. Bake at 250° 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Store in an airtight container.

- Dump the first six dry ingredients (or your personal substitutions) into a large roasting pan or roaster.
- Melt the butter in a large mixing cup and then add the Ranch dressing mix, citrus powder, Worcestershire sauce, and dill into the cup. Mix well.
- Pour some of the butter mixture over the dry ingredients, mix well then repeat so that all the dry ingredients get a bit of seasoning.
- Bake at 275 F, mixing every 20 minutes until the mixture is dry. The time depends on what pan you are using, the roaster I used had higher sides, so it took 1 1/2 hours.
