Red Velvet Hersheys Hug Cookies Recipes
RED VELVET HERSHEY'S HUG COOKIES

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a medium size bowl, mix together the cake mix, eggs and oil until well combined.
- Roll into one-inch balls, roll in sugar, and place on cookie sheet.
- Bake for 7-9 minutes or until done.
- Take out of oven and let cool for about 5 minutes before placing an unwrapped Hershey's Hug in the center of each cookie.
- Be careful not to bump the cookies after placing in the Hershey's Hug, or they will melt and flatten into the cookie.
- Let cookies and chocolate cool completely and enjoy!

- Preheat oven to 350°. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or silpat baking mats and set aside.
- Mix together cake mix, eggs, and butter using a hand mixer or stir it by hand. The dough will be thick.
- Scoop 1 tablespoon sized balls onto your cookie sheets. Chill for at least 30 minutes. If you bake them right away they'll spread just a bit too much.
- Bake about 8-10 minutes until tops just start to crack. Err on the side of underdone! Immediately press a Hershey's Kiss onto the top of each cookie. Let cool completely.

- Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together on medium speed until creamy, about 2 minutes. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix on high until combined, about 1 minute. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed.
- Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, add the milk and food coloring, then then mix on low speed until everything is combined. The dough will be sticky. If you want a more vibrant hue, beat in more food coloring a little at a time. Cover and chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (and up to 3 days). If chilling for longer than a few hours, allow dough to sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes before rolling and baking because the dough will be quite hard.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set aside. Also, make sure there’s room in your freezer because the cookies will need to be placed inside to prevent the chocolates from melting.
