WHITE SANGRIA
Taken from Dave Liberman's Young and Hungry. I haven't tried this one, but I love white sangria. Original recipe was for TWO bottle of wine. Original sugar quantity was 1/3 cup (for twice as much volume). I think this would be good made with peaches too.

Steps:
- Wash the fruit before slicing. Just a reminder.
- Mix the wine, brandy or cognac, and sugar in a large clear pitcher. Stir until sugar has disolved.
- Add the fruit and stir.
- Refrigerate a few hours to allow flavors to combine.
- Before serving, top off with ice cubes.
- Note: orinal recipe calls for an inexpensive light wine such as pino grigio, sauvignon blanc, fume blanc, or California Chablis. It states the chardonney is too robust.

WHITE SANGRIA
I had this at a GFs house one night and it was delightful! Thanks Martha (Stewart)! UPDATE 7/08: Made this delightful sangria a few dates ago. I would suggest using a variety of firm fruits for lots of color (orange slices, lime slices, black berries, blue berries, etc). I used blueberries, but they sunk. I also used Pinot Grigio and found it very refreshing. Chill all your liquids before serving. This can be made several hours ahead. Simply add the seltzer and ice at serving time.

- Wash and slice the fruit to your liking. I recommend slicing the grapes in half, and other fruits into cubes or thin slices.
- Place all the fruit into a large bowl and cover with the sugar. Stir gently. Leave to macerate for at least five minutes, but longer if you have the time (overnight would be perfect). Stir again if needed until almost all of the sugar is dissolved.
- Add this entire mixture to a large pitcher filled 3/4 of the way with your white wine. Mix together gently with a wooden spoon.
