Steps:

1. Saute onions in butter until soft and lightly caramelized.
2. Add sauerkraut.
3. When mixture is warm, add remaining ingredients.
4. Bring to simmer and cook until thickened.

2 medium onions, cut in half and sliced thin
1 teaspoon butter
1 cup sauerkraut
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons texas pete hot sauce

Steps:

In a medium saucepan, combine cabbage, vinegar, salt, and 1 1/4 cups water. Cover, and cook over medium, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender, 30 to 35 minutes (if bottom of pan starts to brown, add 1/4 cup more water). To store, refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
