My Mom found this recipe at the SDA church. She said this was the best recipe she found at their potlucks.

Steps:

Cook macaroni and drain.
All the rest of ingredients, except for margarine and cracker crumbs.
Put in greased 13 x 9 pan(I think).
Melt margarine and add cracker crumbs.
Put on top of casserole.
Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

2 cups macaroni, uncooked
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (15 1/4 ounce) can cream-style corn
1 green pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup mushroom
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup cracker crumb

Georgia is famous for the sweet onions grown in the Vidalia area. My family looks forward to the time these onions are available to use in salads and casseroles.

Steps:

In a large skillet over medium heat, saute onions in butter until tender. Remove from the heat; stir in sour cream. , Spoon half into a greased 1-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Top with remaining onion mixture and crackers. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

Spread half of mashed potatoes into bottom of a greased 2 1/2 qt.greased casserole.
Top with half of hot dogs and half of sauerkraut.
Repeat layers.
