Steps:

• Preheat oven to 375. Beat butter on medium until creamy. Gradually add 2 C sugar, beating well. Add eggs, milk and vanilla beating well. Combine flour, baking powder, and 2 tsp cinnamon gradually add to butter mixture, beating on low until blended. Combine 3 T sugar and 1 1/2 T cinnom in a small bowl. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar mixture. Place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten slightly. Bake at 375 for 11-13 mins or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets for 5 mins. Transfer to wire racks and cool completely.

Steps:

• Cream shortening, 1-1/2 cups sugar, and eggs.
• Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt together and add to sugar mixture.
• Mix together 2 tbsp sugar and cinnamon.
• Roll dough into balls the size of small walnuts and roll in cinnamon sugar.
• Place two inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400°F for ten minutes, or until lightly browned.
• Cookies will puff up, then flatten out with crinkled tops.
