SPICY DILIS (ANCHOVY)
This is an adopted recipe that I have yet to try. The comments of the original poster are as follows: "One of my favorite snack growing up. Of course, not everyone will like this. I don't drink but this recipe is a sure hit as "pulutan" (finger food). EASY AND QUICK."

Steps:
- Beat eggs until fluffy, the add sugar, salt and pepper.
- Blend in cornstarch and beat until smooth.
- Pour mixture over anchovies and stir until completely coated.
- Deep-fry until crisp and golden brown.
- Cool before serving.

- In a deep pan, heat 1 cup oil. Add the dilis and deep fry for 45 seconds to a minute. (Do not overcook or it will taste bitter.) Drain oil and set aside.
- Mix banana ketchup, sugar, and chili powder. Pour over fried dilis and mix well making sure the dried fish are all well coated.
- Heat 1 cup oil in pan, saute garlic, and add coated dilis. Cook on medium heat until sugar has caramelized. Remove from pan. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
