Spicy Tuna Cakes image

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients like you would if you were making a meatloaf.
  • Shape into patties.
  • Dredge patties in the cornmeal mixture and fry until crunchy.
  • Serve with a Sauce of your choice or eat them like a sandwich on a toasted Bun.

3 (6 ounce) cans tuna (drained)
1 1/2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
2 eggs (slightly beaten)
4 tablespoons Miracle Whip
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1/2 cup onion (finely diced)
1/4 cup bell pepper (finely diced)
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon red curry powder
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 teaspoon roasted garlic
1 teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons salt

SPICY GINGER TUNA PATTIES

VERY tasty, LOW CALORIE dish to satisfy your Chinese cravings! This is very easy to whip up and you can easily save some of the mix to cook up another day! I like to serve this with some steamed brown rice and stir fried veggies (I use frozen bag of stir fry veggies - cheap, easy and nutritious!)

Spicy Ginger Tuna Patties image

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients except the cooking spray.
  • Heat a skillet on med-high heat and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Form 4 patties (about the size of a hamburger) and place on the skillet (they may try to fall apart at this stage, so I re-form them with a spatula once they are on the skillet).
  • Let cook about 5-7 min on each side (I stir fry my veggies while I wait!).
  • Remove from heat and enjoy your healthy, tasty meal :).
