Spicy Hot Dogs Recipes

Steps:

• Pan-Fried Hot Dog
• Cook in a hot cast-iron skillet with a little oil, butter or bacon fat, about 5 minutes.
• Bacon and Onions
• Cook 4 chopped bacon slices in a skillet over medium-high heat until the fat has rendered, about 5 minutes. Add 1/2 thinly sliced onion; cook, stirring, until translucent, about 3 minutes. Stir in 1 tablespoon each soy sauce and lime juice and 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce.
• Mayonnaise
• Spicy Chips
• Spread 1 cup lightly crushed tortilla chips on a baking sheet and spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon chili-lime powder (such as Tajen brand) and toss to coat. Bake at 350 degrees F until lightly toasted, 4 to 5 minutes. Let cool.
• Ketchup
• Yellow Mustard

Steps:

• Cook onions in oil until tender.
• Stir in remaining ingredients except the hot dogs and buns.
• Score dogs lengthwise and add to sauce.
• Simmer 10 minutes.
• Serve on toasted buns with your choice of condiments if desired.

Steps:

• Heat olive oil in a saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the onions, red and yellow peppers and jalapeño, then add some salt and pepper to taste, and cook, stirring, until translucent, 6 to 8 minutes. Add the pineapple, honey, mustard seeds and lime zest and juice and cook until the sauce reduces and becomes thick in consistency, 5 to 8 minutes more. Remove from heat and add chopped fresh herbs to finish.
• Preheat grill to 450 to 500 degrees F.
• Grill hot dogs until they have nice grill marks. Meanwhile, grill the hot dog buns.
• Place hot dogs in the buns and spoon pineapple relish on top.

Steps:

• Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and add all spices. Before heating, stir into a paste.
• Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for one hour or until liquid is reduced to your liking.
• If you use very lean meat to avoid cholesterol, add a tablespoon or two vegetable oil (I don't suggest olive oil). It's the oil that brings the flavor to the tongue!
