Add tomatoes and bring to a boil. Stir in beans and reserved beef and simmer, partially covered, over medium low heat for 1 hour. Serve with corn chips. Chili may be made, up to 2 days in advance and kept covered and refrigerated. Reheat to serve.

SPICY CHILI
This spicy chili recipe is the culmination of several years' worth of experimenting to get just the right flavor. For those who like their chili very hot, the secret is to add more jalapenos. The most I ever used in a recipe was five...was it spicy! -Liesha Hoek, Somerset, New Jersey

SPICY SLOW-COOKED CHILI
This spicy and satisfying chili is made in the slow cooker. Start it before you head off to work, and return to a homemade meal ready to eat! I like to put two scoops of sour cream in with my bowl.

SPICY STEAK CHILI
My own recipe. At the name implies, it's pretty spicy; if you want it milder, add one less jalapeño, switch the habanero out for a cayenne, or both. Steak is optional; it also works with ground beef, ground pork, or pretty much any other meat you can think of. To make it vegetarian-friendly, skip the meat and add extra corn and/or some black beans.
