Swiss Bacon Canapes Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Steps:

  • Assemble Rotor Slicer/Shredder using fine shredder cone (No. 1) and attach to mixer. Turn to Speed 4 and shred Swiss cheese into mixer bowl. Add bacon, evaporated milk, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper. Attach bowl and flat beater to mixer. Turn to Speed 4 and beat 1 minute. Stop and scrape bowl. Turn to Speed 6 and beat 30 seconds. Top each bread round with 1 teaspoon of cheese mixture and place on greased baking sheets. Bake at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve immediately. SERVING: ABOUT 45 CAL, 2 G PRO, 4 G CARB, 2 G FAT, 6 MG CHOL, 68 MG SOD.

  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the bread.
  • Place bread on ungreased baking sheets. Broil 4-6 inches from the heat for 1-2 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Turn slices; and slice into quarters spread each with 1 rounded tablespoonful of seafood mixture. Broil 4-5 minutes longer or until heated through.
