AIR-FRIED TACO DOGS

Hot dogs cooked in an air fryer inside their buns, then topped with taco fixings, will redefine Taco Tuesday. The air fryer renders the hot dogs crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Steps:

Preheat an air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C). Make sure the air fryer is at temperature for at least 4 minutes.
Cut 5 slits into each hot dog. Evenly rub 1/2 teaspoon taco seasoning over each hot dog.
Cook hot dogs in the air fryer basket for 5 minutes. Place hot dogs in buns and return to the basket. Cook until buns are toasted and hot dogs are crisp, about 4 minutes more.
Top hot dogs with equal amounts of guacamole, salsa, and jalapenos.

Steps:

1. Place hot dogs into a sauce pan. Add about 1/3 cup of water, bring to a boil to create steam heat. Cover with lid. (add more water if needed)/
2. Remove lid, add water if needed, Use a tongs to hold flour tortilla into the steam. Then assemble taco dog by appling your desired toppings.

1 pkg (8 - 10) flour tortillas
MEAT
1 pkg (8 -10) hot dogs (your favorite)
TOPPINGS
1 jar salsa (to your tastes)
1 large tomatoe (chopped or minced)
1 onion (minced)
1 - 2 c shredded or chopped lettuce of choice
1 pkg shredded cheese of choice
10 -12 totilla chips (of your choice) (crumbled)
1 pkg sour cream

Heat a griddle or grill over medium heat. Bring about 1/2-inch of water to a boil in a saucepan. Boil the hot dogs until heated through, about 4-5 minutes. Transfer the hot dogs to the grill and cook to crisp up the casings.
Meanwhile, combine the onion with 1 teaspoon of salt and let the salt pull the liquid out of the onions.
Combine the avocado, tomato, lime juice and cilantro. Stir in the onions and any juice that has accumulated. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Put some salsa and guacamole down the center of each tortilla, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges of the tortilla. Place the hot dogs over the toppings, then top with cheese and wrap the tortilla around the dogs. Use toothpicks to secure the tortillas. Spray with cooking spray and grill for a few minutes on each side until brown and crisp.
