TRAIL MIX CEREAL TREATS

Steps:
- Grease a 1/4 dry measuring cup and the cups the muffin tray with butter.
- Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and a large pinch of salt and cook, stirring occasionally, until the marshmallows melt completely, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat. Add the cereal, almonds, raisins and sunflower seeds and stir with a rubber spatula, making sure to scrape down to the bottom, until the cereal is completely coated. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes and then quickly fold in the candy.
- Use the prepared measuring cup to mound the mixture into the cups of the prepared muffin tray. Pat the domes together gently to help the treats hold their shape. Let sit at room temperature until firm, about 30 minutes.
- Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
CARAMEL CRISPY RICE TREATS

- Prepare a baking dish and a large mixing bowl with non-stick cooking spray. Pour cereal into a large mixing bowl and set next to your stove.
- Heat caramel bits and butter together in a large saucepan over low heat until both are melted and the mixture is smooth, about 5 minutes; add marshmallows. Continue to cook the mixture, stirring regularly, until the marshmallows are melted and the mixture is smooth, about 5 minutes; pour immediately into the middle of the cereal in the bowl and quickly stir to coat cereal completely.
- Spread the coated cereal into the prepared baking dish. Spray the back of a spoon with cooking spray and use it to press the cereal into an even layer. Let cereal cool completely before cutting into squares.

- Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Spray a large roasting pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a medium-size microwave safe bowl, mix butter, white corn syrup and brown sugar. Place the mixture in the microwave and cook 2 minutes, or until butter melts.
- Place the cereal, pecans and almonds into the prepared roasting pan. Pour the melted butter mixture over the cereal and nuts and mix gently until the cereal and nuts are coated.
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- As the snack mix is cooling, be sure to continue to stir so that the mix will not harden in one big lump.

SALTED CARAMEL-STUFFED CRISPY RICE TREATS RECIPE BY TASTY
Gooey, buttery crispy rice treats and salted caramel are #couplegoals. Quick tip: if the crispy rice mixture solidifies too much to spread, place the pot in the oven at 250°F (120°C) for 5 minutes to soften.

- Make the salted caramel sauce: In a small saucepan fitted with a candy thermometer, stir together the sugar, water, and salt until no clumps remain, brushing any sugar granules from the sides of the pot. Turn the heat to medium and cook the sugar mixture without stirring until the temperature reaches 350°F (180°C) and the color turns light amber brown, 10-15 minutes.
- Gently whisk in 1 piece of butter at a time until melted and incorporated.
- Remove the pot from the heat. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, whisking continuously to prevent the caramel from overflowing. Use caution as the mixture bubbles. Let the sauce cool completely, then transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
- Make the crispy rice treats: Grease a 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish with nonstick spray and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until lightly browned, 3-4 minutes.
- With a rubber spatula, stir in the marshmallows until completely melted. Stir in the vanilla. Turn off the heat, add the puffed rice cereal, and stir until well coated.
- Spread half of the crispy rice mixture evenly in the prepared pan. Freeze for 15 minutes.
- Spread the salted caramel sauce evenly over the first layer of crispy rice treats and sprinkle with the flaky sea salt. Return the pan to the freezer for 10 minutes.
- Spread the rest of the crispy rice mixture evenly over the caramel sauce. (If the crispy rice mixture solidifies too much to spread, place the pot in the oven at 250°F (120°C) for 5 minutes to soften). Let the treats cool completely, about 20 minutes.
- Once cooled, invert the treats onto a cutting board and cut into 2-inch squares.
- Enjoy!

- When butter is melted add marshmallows, stirring until melted. Set aside just while you melt caramels in microwave for 1 minutes.
