White Chocolate Cherry Cookies Gift Mix In A Jar Recipes

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350*F Line baking sheets with parchment paper, non-stick foil or baking mat and set aside. Remove cherries from jar and discard juice or use for another recipe like our Cherry Limeade recipe. Chop cherries into 4 - 6 pieces per cherry. If you have a chopper, now is the time to use it! Blot cherries with paper towel to get rid of any extra juice. Set aside. In a mixing bowl cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar, scraping bowl as needed. Add powdered instant pudding mix to sugar mixture. Mix well. Add eggs & vanilla and mix well. Add baking soda and flour, mix and scrape sides as needed. Add cherries and white chocolate chips and mix well. Scoop onto prepare baking sheet in 1 inch balls. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until edges begin to golden.

• 1. Place sugar in bottom of a 1-quart jar. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together to make the second layer. Add the remaining ingredients in the order given. If there are any gaps at the top when finished layering, add cherries, chips or nuts to fill in the space.
• 2. Attach these instructions to the jar: Cherry Chip Cookies: Cream 1/2 cup butter or margarine in a large bowl, add 1 egg and beat well. Stir in the contents of jar. Drop by teaspoons onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool.

Shape into walnut size balls, and place 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet. 3. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then move to wire racks.

• Wash and thoroughly dry a 1-quart wide-mouth canning jar.
• Layer the ingredients in the jar as listed above starting with the flour, baking powder, soda, salt, sugar, oatmeal, white chocolate chips, cherries and then walnuts - make sure to press firmly with a flat bottomed object after each addition; make the layers as level as possible.

• COOKIE INSTRUCTIONS:
• Preheat oven to 375.
• In a large bowl, blend the butter, egg and vanilla extract.
• Add the contents of the jar, and stir until well mixed.
• Roll the dough into 2 inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.
• Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are light brown in color.
• Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to wire racks and cool completely.
• Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
