Steps:

  • 1. In a non-stick skillet, brown ground beef and onion together. Drain. 2. In the slow cooker, combine ground beef mixture with all remaining ingredients, including the wild rice seasoning. 3. Cover and cook on High 3 hours or on Low 5-6 hours, or until rice is tender but not mushy.

1 medium-sized onion, chopped
6.2-oz. pkg. long-grain and wild rice, uncooked
4-oz. can mushrooms
2 10 3/4-oz. cans mushroom soup
1/2 cup water

Ground Beef Casserole with Rice image

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Add bell pepper, tomato, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook and stir until pepper has slightly softened, about 5 minutes. Strain 1/2 of the liquid from the canned diced tomatoes into the mixture.
  • Stir diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper into the ground beef mixture. Simmer until some of the liquid has reduced, about 10 minutes. Add rice and mix well. Transfer to a casserole dish and sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until filling is heated through and cheese is melted, about 45 minutes.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 2-quart casserole with cooking spray.
  • In 10-inch skillet, cook beef over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain.
  • Meanwhile, make rice mix as directed on package-except omit butter. Stir rice mixture, soup, milk and pepper into beef. Spoon into casserole.
  • Cover and bake 30 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake uncovered 5 to 10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and mixture is hot.

Steps:

  • Cook ground beef and drain.
  • Add onions, rice and 1 cup water, stir.
  • Cook in microwave for 3 minutes in 2-quart glass bowl.
  • Add soup and mushrooms.
  • In another bowl, heat butter with the 1/2 cup of water for 1 minute on high.
  • Stir in stuffing cubes, blend until moist.
  • Spoon stuffing mixture over meat.
  • Top with almonds.
  • Cook on high 12-14 minutes and then let stand and set for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Enjoy!

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350'.
  • Butter well a 2 quart or larger casserole dish.
  • In a skillet add ground beef and onions and brown until meat is no longer pink.
  • Drain off fat.
  • While beef is browning, prepare rice mix as directed (including seasoning packet)except omit butter.
  • When most of the liquid is cooked down and rice is becoming tender, remove from heat and stir into meat mixture.
  • Add Soup, milk, pepper and 1 Cup Cheese and blend well.
  • Transfer to 2 qt baking dish, bake uncovered 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and heated through.
  • Top with remaining 1/2 Cup cheese and bake another 5-10 minutes or until cheese melts and turns bubbly.
