DELICIOUS OVEN PIZZA SUB SANDWICHES
All amounts may be increased or decreased to suit taste, and if possible purchase the submarine style sandwich buns that are about 9-inches long --- these are delicious!

Steps:
- Slice 6 buns (or how many you desire, just increase the ingredients).
- On the bottom half of the buns, layer sausage, then ham, then pizza sauce, then cheese, then onion, then banana peppers (seaon the peppers with black pepper) then pepperoni and lastly the salami.
- Replace the tops.
- Wrap each bun in heavy-duty foil that has been sprayed well with non-stick cooking spray.
- Place on baking sheet.
- Bake at a 400 degree oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately.
- **NOTE** banana peppers in a jar are usually found in the pickle section of any grocery store.
- Delicious!

- On four slices of bread, layer one slice of mozzarella, two slices of tomato, 1 teaspoon Parmesan cheese, a dash of garlic salt and six slices pepperoni. Top with remaining mozzarella and bread. Spread outside of sandwiches with butter., On a hot griddle, toast sandwiches until golden brown, 3-4 minutes on each side. Serve with pizza sauce.

- 1. crumble and brown italian sausage. drain and set aside.
- 2. slice hoagie rolls in half. spread the pizza sauce on both halves, then on bottom layer add pepperoni. now add a some sausage and mushrooms. add another layer of pepperoni and top with cheese. sprinkle cheese with a little italian seasoning add top half of bun and bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for about 15 mins. Until the cheese melts and bun is a little toasted.

- Heat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Cook and stir the meat in a large skillet until brown.
- Drain off the excess fat.
- Stir in half of the tomato sauce and the oregano leaves into the meat mixture.
- Heat to boiling then reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
- While the meat mixture is simmering, mix the baking mix, egg and the milk.
- Measure out 3/4 cup of the batter and set aside.
- Spread the remaining batter in a greased baking pan 9 X 9 X 2-inches.
- Pour into the remaining tomato sauce over the batter, spreading evenly.
- Layer 4 slices of the cheese, the meat mixture, the mushrooms and the remaining cheese on top of the batter and tomato sauce.
- Spoon the reserved batter on the top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle the batter top with the grated Parmesan cheese and bake, uncovered, until it is golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cool for 5 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.

- Depending on how many sandwiches you’re making, you need 2 slices of bread for each, and about a Tablespoon of butter for each sandwich, and of course at least one cheese slice for each. Now I like to melt my butter a bit and brush it on the outside of each slice, but it’s probably not necessary, if you prefer instead to use a knife and spread un-melted butter on your bread.
- After buttering, one side of each slice of bread (the side exposed to the pan), sprinkle each slice with a bit of garlic salt and Italian seasoning. Don’t get heavy handed with the garlic salt or your sandwich will be too salty. Then lay half of your buttered slices face down on your baking sheet, top each with a slice of cheese, and a layer of pepperoni and another slice of buttered bread. When you’ve made how many you want, they are ready to go in the oven.
- In a preheated 425 degree oven, bake on one side for around 6 minutes, checking though to get it to your preferred degree of “toastyness.” Then carefully flip over and bake for another 3 minutes or so, again watching for the perfect “brown-ness” for your taste.
