BAMBINI, ITALIAN APPETIZERS
For your New Years's Eve Snack Table. Italian appetizers using the ever-popular flaky biscuits. Probably could make with crescent roll dough instead. From the Port Vue Methodist Women Rebekah Circle Cookbook, 9/90

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients except biscuits.
- Roll out each half.
- Place 1 teaspoon cheese mixture on each rolled biscuit and fold in half. Pinch edges to seal.
- Sprinkle with Italian spices.
- Place on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
BAMBINOS
Nice 'appies' for a get together - hot or cold. Can use crackers or toasted bagette rounds. Have changed recipe to chopped pepperoni for more taste and ease of eating.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 400°F.
- Chop pepperoni and mix with sauce and cheese.
- Spoon sauce mix on crackers or toasted rounds; sprinkle with oregano.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet until cheese is melted, 3 - 5 minutes.

Steps:
- Pastry Rounds: Heat oven to 475°. Mix flour and salt; cut in shortening. Sprinkle with water and mix with fork. Divide in half and roll each to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into 1 1/2- to 2-inch circles. Place on foil-covered baking sheet and prick with fork. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Bambinos: Before serving, heat oven to 400°. Combine tomato paste, garlic salt, and oregano. Spoon a small amount onto a pastry round. Top with small cube of cheese and a piece of meat. Sprinkle with oregano. Bake 3-5 minutes. Serve hot.
