Crowd pleasing banana pancakes made from scratch. A fun twist on ordinary pancakes.

Steps:
- Combine flour, white sugar, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together egg, milk, vegetable oil and bananas.
- Stir flour mixture into banana mixture; batter will be slightly lumpy.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Cook until pancakes are golden brown on both sides; serve hot.

- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons water; set aside. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. When foam from butter subsides, add bananas in a single layer; cook, flipping once, until dark brown, 7 to 9 minutes total.
- Add reserved honey mixture; cook 45 seconds and serve immediately. Cooled bananas can be refrigerated in an airtight container up to 1 day. Reheat over medium-low before serving.

- In a separate bowl, whisk mashed banana, butter, egg, buttermilk, brown sugar, and vanilla. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir with a rubber spatula until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium-low heat and grease with butter. Drop the batter in approximately 1/3 cup portions onto the griddle, spreading out the batter to form even circles. Cook until bubbles begin to form (it might be hard to see the bubbles because the batter will be thick). Flip and continue cooking until cooked through (another couple minutes). Be careful not to turn up the heat too high, as you want the pancakes to cook slowly so that the outside doesn't cook faster than the inside. Serve hot with butter and syrup.
