BASIL GARLIC DRESSING FOR SALADS OR MARINADES
From Wolfgang Puck: A simple dressing that is great over fresh tomatoes, and makes a wonderful marinade for chicken and shrimp. And there's nothing like the color of fresh basil.

- In a blender, combine the basil, vinegar, and Parmesan cheese until the basil is pureed.
- With the motor running, pour the oil through the opening and blend until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, pour into a small bowl, and set aside. Whisk before using.

KELLY'S WEDDING SALAD
This is a light, refreshing salad. Perfect for lunch or to start off a meal. This is a scaled down version of the salad that will be served at our daughter's wedding. The caterer was generous enough to provide us with the recipe. Note: Cooking time is chilling time for the dressing.

- In a bowl or shaker, combine olive oil, vinegar, basil, brown sugar, garlic and salt. Mix and chill for at least 1 hour.
- In a large bowl add salad greens, almonds, feta cheese, bacon and pear slices.
- Drizzle with dressing and toss gently to coat.

This dressing is posted in Recipe #226217. However, it goes so well with any mixture of vegetables and fruit, that I figured it deserved to have a listing of it's own. I've doubled the ingredients from the original posting. I've been putting this on EVERYTHING! Note: Cooking time is recommended chilling time.
