Easy Beef and Pasta Soup image

Steps:

Cook beef and onion in 4-quart Dutch oven over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain.
Stir in Sauce Mix, water, basil, pepper and garlic. Heat to boiling, stirring frequently; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in Pasta and mushrooms. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley.

Steps:

In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine all ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hours or until pasta is tender.

BEEF AND PASTA MUSHROOM SOUP

Most of the beef and mushroom soup recipes here include barley. I have never used barley, but am rather curious about it. BUT, anyone who knows me knows a couple of things: I shop frequently at the salvage store and I will take a shortcut anywhere I can get it in the kitchen when I'm in an experimental mood. This recipes uses a Hamburger Helper mix and sounds pretty good for a quick winter weeknight meal. Great, too, if you're on a budget. Those boxes of Hamburger Helper are only a buck at the salvage store, so that works for me, who is always looking for a bargin.

Steps:

In a 4 quart Dutch oven, cook the beef and onions until done.
Drain any fat or liquid that remains.
Stir in hot water, Sauce Mix, basil, salt, pepper and garlic.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat.
Cover; simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in uncooked pasta and mushrooms.
Cover; cook 10 minutes longer.
Stir in parsley.

Beef Pasta with Creamy Mushroom image

Steps:

1. Set water for noodles to boil. Follow package directions.
2. Dice onion.
3. Add diced onion, beef, garlic, salt, and pepper to frying pan. Brown, and strain.
4. After straining noodles return to the pot with butter, milk, and soup. If too thick for your tastes add more milk, too little -add less. Stir well
5. Add ground beef & onion mix to noodles & sauce.
6. Serve.

In 5- to 6-quart Dutch oven, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onion, garlic and mushrooms; cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until mushrooms are softened.
Stir in beef. Cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until beef is no longer pink. Stir in remaining ingredients except noodles and sour cream. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in noodles. Cover; cook 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender.
Stir in sour cream. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until well blended.
