Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients using an electric blender or by hand using a mortar and pestle.
  • Serve with yogurt, lahooh, or hulba.
  • Store in refrigerator for 3 days or freeze for up to several months.

1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 garlic clove
1/4 teaspoon cumin seed
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1 -2 green chili (more or less depending on taste)
1 dried chili
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon water

  • In a Dutch oven, cook beef and sausage over medium heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes, breaking into crumbles; drain. Add the remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring frequently. If desired, serve with additional jalapeno and sour cream.

1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard

1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
