Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in the bananas. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  • 2. Divide batter in half. Add cocoa to half; spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. ( if adding chocolate chips, add now ). Spoon remaining batter on top and swirl with a knife.
  • 3. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until the a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool a wire rack.

1/2 c butter, softened
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 - 1/2 c mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
1 - 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c baking cocoa

Steps:

  • 1. In a mixing bowl cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla then beat until smooth and fluffy. Add the bananas and beat until they are mashed. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt then add to creamed mixture. Divide batter in half then add cocoa to half of the batter. Spread cocoa part into a greased 9 x 13 in. pan. Spoon remaining batter on top and at this point you can put nuts or chocolate chips on top. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. After it has cooled you can cut into bars.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom and sides of rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, with shortening. In large bowl, mix granulated sugar, bananas, oil and eggs with spoon. Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Spread in pan.
  • Bake bars 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, in medium bowl, mix cream cheese, butter and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until blended. Gradually beat in powdered sugar with spoon, scraping bowl occasionally, until smooth and spreadable.
  • Spread cooled bars with Cream Cheese Frosting. For bars, cut into 6 row by 4 rows. Store covered in refrigerator.

Steps:

  • Melt 4 Tbsp. butter; pour into medium bowl. Stir in wafer crumbs and sugar. Reserve 2 Tbsp. crumb mixture for later use; press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate.
  • Microwave chocolate and remaining butter in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Drizzle over bottom of crust; top with bananas.
