Blond Toffee Brownies image

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars.
  • Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  • Srit in toffee bits.
  • Spread evenly into a greased 13 X 9 X 2-in pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
  • Cool on wore rack.
  • Cut into bars.
  • ENJOY!

1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup English toffee bits or 1 cup almond brickle chips

Yum, these toffee blondies are one of my favorites treats out there. For those who don't know, blondies are 'white' brownies. But just as delicious! (Maybe a little more?!)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Beat brown sugar, butter, and eggs together in a large bowl with an electric mixer. Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in 1 cup toffee bits and chocolate chips. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown and edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan, 23 to 28 minutes. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle evenly with 1 tablespoon toffee bits.

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat the butter, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Stir into dry ingredients just until combined (batter will be thick). , Spread into a 13x9-in. baking pan coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with chocolate chunks and chopped candy bars; press gently into batter., Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  • Measure 1 cup sifted flour. Add baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Sift again. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Mix well and set aside.
  • Stir the brown sugar into the melted butter and mix well. Cool slightly.
  • Mix the beaten egg and vanilla into the brown sugar mixture. Add flour mixture, a little at a time, mixing just until combined.
  • Spread the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle 1/2 to 1 cup chocolate chips on top. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 20 to 25 minutes.

Brown-Butter Toffee Blondies image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Line bottom of pan with parchment paper; butter and flour parchment paper.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, cook the butter until it turns golden brown; remove from heat, and let cool. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine browned butter and both sugars; stir with a wooden spoon until combined. Attach bowl to mixer; add eggs. Using the paddle attachment, beat on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add vanilla, and beat to combine. Add flour mixture, walnuts, and toffee bits. Mix until thoroughly combined, and pour into prepared pan.
  • Bake until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes (do not overbake). Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before turning out of pan onto a cutting board. Peel off parchment paper; cut blondies into 3-inch squares or into suit shapes with 1 1/2- to 2-inch cookie cutters. Just before serving, dust half with confectioners' sugar, if desired.

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan; set aside.
  • 2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. In a mixer bowl with paddle attachment, beat the eggs well. Gradually add the sugars; beat until thick and creamy. Add the melted butter and vanilla extract. Gently stir in the flour mixture; blend until moistened. Fold in 1/2 cup of the toffee pieces and the pecans. Pour into the prepared pan.
  • 3. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of toffee pieces over the top. Cool completely in the pan before cutting.
